Our Company

Charleston Midstream Transfer Facility was uniquely designed by the late Jack Maybank Sr. Our berths can handle ships with depths up to 42 feet and LOA’s as long as 900 feet and a beam of 106’. These mooring locations are equipped to handle diverse cargos and our facilities allow efficient unloading and transporting of commodities to anywhere in the Southeast region. Some of the cargos we handle include coal, scrap steel, steel coils, DRI, HBI, Pig Iron, Rock, and Limestone— and other non-liquid bulk cargos.

Our staff is well trained and follows strict security measures to accommodate and facilitate the movements of all commodities. We also bring expertise in short sea shipping methods, loading and unloading, distribution and warehousing, as well as logistics to determine the most cost efficient method to get your cargo to anywhere in and around the Southeast and beyond.
